Chemical Section

The chemical lab is the most important section of Quality Control Department in Curetech Skin Care, Baddi. No batch or lot of consignment of raw material is passed to production area until all appropriate test have been completed and release report is obtained. Chemist in the I.P.Q.C. lab also continuously checks products, which are manufactured by the production department.

Instruments Section

Refractometer
The principle of this instrument is the observation of the critical angle for total reflection between glass of high refractive index and substance to be examined.

RI may be read directly on a sample with accuracy of 0.002.

It requires only a drop of sample.

A source of monochromatic light is not essential.

Provision of temperature control.

Melting Point Range Apparatus : Melting point is the temperature at which substances begin to form droplets. Temperature range of the sample is feed and melting point of the substance is obtained. Temperature increases at the rate of 0.1Â°C/min. its calibration is done with 3 standards.

Polarimeter : It is used to check the optical rotation of the sample. Optical rotation is depended upon the nature of the substance in the concentration of optically active compound. Calibration is done against the different concentration of the sugar solution.

Weighing Balance : It is a precious weighing instrument for small load. It is used primarily in professional and technical application. It is calibrated against standard weights.

pH Meter : It is used to obtain pH value of different sample calibration is done carried out with standard buffer solution of pH 4.0, 7.0,9.2

Conductivity Meter : It is used for the measuring conductivity of water.

Muffle Furnance : It is used for the measuring total Ash or Sulphated Ash of the Raw materials.

Centrifugal Machine : It is used for the sepration of the layers.

K.F. Titrator : It is used for the Determination of water contents.

Vaccume Oven : It is used for the determination of the loss on drying of the raw materials.

H.P.L.C. : It is a separation technique use for the analysis of Assay of the material used in the preprations.

Magnetic Strieer : This use to dissolve the matina such as, raw material, gel, chemicals & ceram.
